While West thinks the videos released so far can all be explained, he does support further research on the subject.

In a recent and exceptionally long story in TheNew Yorker detailing the history of the movement to take UFOs seriously, a former Pentagon official pushed back on Wests skepticism, saying that he doesnt have the whole story. Theres data he will never see theres much more that I would include in a classified environment.
Shortly after the reports release, New Yorks Jeff Wise examined another potential explanation: electromagnetic warfare.
What Does The Report Say
The UAP task force’s unclassified report found “no clear indications that there is any non-terrestrial explanation” for the aircrafts, but also did not rule it out.
Possible explanations included common aerial objects like birds and drones, atmospheric phenomena such as ice crystals, new developments by US government or private entities, and technologies deployed by foreign adversaries. The report also includes a catch-all “other” category.
Officials examined 144 incidents from the past two decades, including three videos that the Pentagon declassified last year and described as showing “unexplained aerial phenomena”.
Although no earth-shattering revelations emerged, the existence of a government report on a much-ridiculed issue shows how UFOs have beamed out of the realm of purely science fiction pop culture and into the world of US national security.

The Pentagon established the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force last August to look into observations of unknown flying aircrafts.
The group’s job was to “detect, analyse and catalogue” these events, as well as to “gain insight” into the “nature and origins” of UFOs, the Pentagon said.
A classified version of its report was provided to lawmakers earlier this month.
The Truth About Aliens And Ufos
There are too many UFO and alien sightings for it just to be a misidentification or a hallucination unless of course, the chemicals the government is poisoning us with are causing us to hallucinate, which is possible.
A more plausible reason is that our technology is advancing at a high rate and now aliens wish to have more contact with us. It always amazed me that so many people in this country were so quick to dismiss any UFO sightings as an optical illusion or some misidentification of an aircraft, come on. The American public has been lied to for long enough, and now the truth is beginning to come out, and there is nothing that the government can do to stop this.
We have seen an unpreceded explosion in information being released to the public in recent years, and now the information that was once inaccessible to most of the nation is available to everyone. Extraterrestrial life exists, one only has to think about the enormity of the universe to realize we are not alone, and now more and more evidence continues to come out that proves this is a fact. It really does make you think about what else the government has been hiding from us, and what other secrets will finally be revealed.

As The Washington Posts Joby Warrick reported, the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program was a rare instance of continued government investigations into a UFO phenomenon that was the subject of multiple official inquiries in the 1950s and 1960s.
For a specific segment of the population that doesnt need to Google the terms Paradise Ranch and Cheshire cat airstrip, it was a eureka moment the first alien-related secrets that have slipped out of the clenched jaws of the government.
The non-Googlers have it easy, it seems: The admission and the fact that the government spent $22 million on UFO research gives any out-there theory a patina of credibility.
But what about the rest of us who have not fully jumped onto the tinfoil-hat bandwagon? What are we to make of 70 years of bizarre stories centered on a secret government base an hours drive from the Las Vegas Strip?
Lots Of Questions No Real Answers
That’s the report that just came out today. The investigation summarized by the unclassified document, whose authors describe it as a “preliminary assessment,” primarily focused on UAP sightings by Navy pilots between November 2004 and March 2021.
Most of the encounters that were analyzed occurred in the last two years, the report states, because the Navy established a standardized reporting mechanism in March 2019, resulting in better and more reliable data.
The UAP investigation examined 144 encounters documented by U.S. government sensors. Eighty of these involved observations with multiple sensors, suggesting that instrument error is not a plausible explanation in at least those cases.
“Most of the UAP reported probably do represent physical objects, given that a majority of UAP were registered across multiple sensors, to include radar, infrared, electro-optical, weapon seekers and visual observation,” the report states.
Eighteen of the UAP encounters reported objects moving in unusual or unexpected ways.
“Some UAP appeared to remain stationary in winds aloft, move against the wind, maneuver abruptly, or move at considerable speed, without discernible means of propulsion. In a small number of cases, military aircraft systems processed radio frequency energy associated with UAP sightings,” the report states.
Such apparently weird behavior “could be the result of sensor errors, spoofing or observer misperception and require additional rigorous analysis,” it adds.

Ufo Sightings Remain Mysterious Us Government Report Says
The alien hypothesis isn’t mentioned but it isn’t ruled out, either.
The U.S. government needs some more time to get to the bottom of the UFO mystery.
That’s the main take-home message from the highly anticipated UFO report released Friday by the Pentagon and the U.S. director of national intelligence.
“The limited amount of high-quality reporting on unidentified aerial phenomena hampers our ability to draw firm conclusions about the nature or intent of UAP,” the report’s executive summary states, using the military’s now-preferred term for “UFO” .
There’s another feature of the report that will probably draw a lot of attention as well: The nine-page document, which you can read in full here, does not rule out alien spacecraft as a possible explanation for some UAP. However, that’s primarily an inferred conclusion as the words “alien” and “extraterrestrial” do not appear in the report.

Assessing The Alien Hypothesis
Meanwhile all this strangeness has garnered considerable media attention, from front-page stories in the New York Times to 13,000-word articles in the New Yorker, as well as prominent coverage on 60 Minutes and other prime-time television programs. Through it all, a sizable contingent of true believers have steadily proclaimed, We told you so, insistent in their conviction that, whether called UFOs or UAP, the entities seemingly slipping through our skies are actually alien spacecraftand have been visiting Earth for a very long time.
Those deeply entrenched public beliefs, paired with the apparent reinvigoration of investigative interest in these incidents at the highest levels of government, can lead to dazzling speculations. Might we be on the verge of a formal disclosurebacked by irrefutable evidencethat humankind is not alone and is indeed being monitored by extraterrestrial civilizations? Or could it be that UAP are entirely homegrown products of revolutionary and clandestine technological advances, whether by other countries now challenging American airspace or by the U.S. itself as part of some supersecret domestic program meant to detect flaws in the nations defenses? The mind boggles.
Lastly, according to the New York Times article, the final report includes a classified annex of information deemed unsuitable for public releaseleaving more than enough room for die-hard UFO advocates to remain convinced that the U.S. government is hiding the truth.

Report says intelligence sources do not think aliens are behind UFOs but what they are is unclear
The mystery of UFOs seen in American skies is likely to continue following the release of the US governments highly anticipated UFO report.
The report released on Friday afternoon made clear that while American intelligence officials do not believe aliens are behind the UFOs or what scientists prefer to call unidentified aerial phenomena that were observed by navy pilots, they cannot explain what the flying objects are.
The report confirms that the observed phenomena are not part of any US military operations.
The Pentagon studied more than 140 incidents reported by navy pilots of UAP seen over the last two decades for the report. Many were seen from the summer of 2014 into the spring of 2015.
While the report said that some incidents could be the result of technological errors in sensors or observers, it noted that most of the UAP reported probably do represent physical objects since they were registered across multiple sensors.
The only UAP intelligence officials were able to identify with high confidence turned out to be a large, deflating balloon.
The others remain unexplained, the report reads.
The release of the report caps a six-month wait, since a group of elected officials succeeded in including the Intelligence Authorization Act for fiscal year 2021 in a $2.3tn coronavirus relief bill signed by Donald Trump last December.

The Secret Pentagon Ufo Program
When you think about it, it makes total sense that our government has been lying to us. If the public knew about what was really going on behind closed doors with regards to alien life, we would collectively freak out.

On June 25, the Pentagon released a much-anticipated report on UFOs to Congress. The military has rebranded unidentified flying objects as unidentified aerial phenomena UAPs in part to avoid the stigma that has been attached to claims of aliens visiting the Earth since the Roswell incident in 1947. The report presents no convincing evidence that alien spacecraft have been spotted, but some of the data defy easy interpretation.
Im a professor of astronomy who has written extensively on the search for life in the universe. I also teach a free online class on astrobiology. I do not believe that the new Pentagon report or any other sightings of UFOs in the past are proof of aliens visiting Earth. But the report is important because it opens the door for a serious look at UFOs.
Specifically, it encourages the U.S. government to collect better data on UFOs, and I think the release of the report increases the chances that scientists will try to interpret that data. Historically, UFOs have felt off limits to mainstream science, but perhaps no more.

What Are Other Countries Doing About Ufos
Former Senator Reid has defended the $22m he had obtained for the original UFO programme at the Pentagon, saying that other countries were also studying the issue.
“We know that China is doing it,” he told Nevada Newsmakers in 2019. “We know that Russia, which is led by someone within the KGB, is doing it, too, so we better take a look at it, too.”
Research done by the US Defence Department “showed that not two people, four people or six people or 20 people but hundreds and hundreds of people have seen these things, sometimes all at the same time,” he argued.
Last December, the former head of the Israeli space directorate at the country’s defence ministry told a local newspaper that Mr Trump was on the “verge of revealing” the existence of an intergalactic treaty, but pulled back out of fear of inciting a “mass hysteria”.
“There is an agreement between the US government and the aliens,” Haim Eshed told the Yediot Aharonot newspaper. “They signed a contract with us to do experiments here.”
The far-fetched statement has not been confirmed – by man nor Martian.
