Ministers announce new federal child-care funding for Ontario September 3, 2020

There are over 100 different courses, in over 30 different industry sectors, that you can enrol in under the Certificate 3 Guarantee.

The Queensland Skills Gateway has more information about qualifications. The course search results will provide details of whether a qualification is funded under Certificate III Guarantee or not.

Tax Credits And Support

Tax credits reduce the amount of tax you owe and may result in a tax refund. To claim tax credits, you need to meet certain requirements and file a tax return, even if you have no other filing requirement or owe no income tax.

  • Child and dependent care tax credit: This credit is available to people who had to pay for child care for their children so they could work or look for work.
  • Earned income tax credit: This tax credit helps low- to moderate-income workers and families get a tax break. If you qualify, you can use the credit to reduce the taxes you owe and possibly increase your refund.

What Does A Standard Funded Program Look Like

Typically, these programs are classroom-based over a 26 week period of full-time study. To ensure you get the best out of your training and have the opportunity to put your skills to work, we will generally have a partnering employer as part of the program. There will be a number of required hours for placement that will count towards your course. Placement can take place with the partnering employer, giving you not only exposure to the industry but gives the employer a chance to see you in action.

These programs are supported by the Government of South Australia with a student contribution ranging between $250 $500 depending on the qualification which represents a significant saving from the. If needed we can help you out with a payment plan but often if you are with a job service provider they may also assist with this cost.

Will I Be Eligible

The eligibility criteria may vary for each program. Though generally, it will consist of a funding eligibility check, suitability interview and successful completion of a reading / writing / numeracy indicator tool. If you are linked to a job service provider, a referral form stating the job plan and other relevant information would also be required prior to assessment.

  • Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 10 . Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion. For more information on the international education achievement levels equivalent to Year 10 and 12.
