Student loan forgiveness

Under the Public Student Loan Forgiveness program, youll need to make 120 payments and work full-time in an approved field, government agency, or nonprofit organization. If you meet all of the eligibility requirements and go through the lengthy application process, you might have the remaining balance of your student loans forgiven.

There are job-specific forgiveness programs for people in the medical and education fields, and some states have their own specific forgiveness programs.

Eligibility And Value For Social Welfare

The UAE law stipulates that only nationals residing in UAE can avail the social assistance provided by Ministry of Community Development. However, it made some exceptions to this rule.

An Emirati woman who is married to a foreigner may seek a monthly assistance for herself and her children if her husband:

suffers from a disability which impedes his work ability

is imprisoned for a period of not less than two months
is being deported.

An Emirati woman can also seek social assistance for herself if her foreigner husband has no income for a reason behind his control, or if her husband’s income is less than the average required to run a family.

An Emirati widow from her marriage to a foreigner and her children are also entitled for social assistance.

Further, a divorcee or a widow of an Emirati man can seek welfare for herself if she has children of that marriage and resides in the country and if she has no source of income or well-to-do provider.

Fact: Many Beneficiaries Of Low

As noted above, Social Security and Medicare account for much of our nations spending on public benefits. But other programs not specifically designated for the elderly reach a significant number of them as well as Americans with disabilities. The biggest programs demonstrate this point. Stop And Think About Your Pension Contributions

Staying in a workplace pension is an easy way to save for your retirement, especially as your employer, in most cases, must contribute to it. But if youre dealing with unmanageable debt, it might make sense to stop your contributions for now.

Going From Commitments To Climate Action

So while more people are talking about clean energy access and theres definitely momentum that is building, today the biggest obstacle to achieving SDG7 still remains insufficient finance for energy access, at the required scale and on appropriate terms. The off-grid solar sector needs to focus on how to deliver the necessary green transition by ensuring that the available financial flows arrive at scale, locally and faster.

As a sector, we need more financing of all types, including public funding, in the form of initiatives that help to de-risk investment and leverage more private finance. Support programs that help make our products and services affordable to everyone, everywhere, are also necessary.

To that end, one interesting initiative that could be catalytic is the Leveraging Energy Access Finance Framework blended finance programme, in which the African Development Bank and the Green Climate Fund are cooperating to address the financing barriers that prevent capital flows to the off-grid sector. This model should facilitate investment at scale, and hopefully many more such innovative partnerships will emerge soon.

1Get rid of your cell phone. Its going to be hard to stay off the grid if youre using a cell phone. Law enforcement can triangulate and track your cell signal.

Its the built-in GPS in cell phones that makes you easy to track. Even if you dont make a call, you can be tracked because cell phones and towers are constantly connecting with each other.

You can also take the battery out of the phone. Or leave the phone somewhere if you want to throw people off.

2Use pre-paid phones. Instead of a cell phone, use pre-paid phones that you can buy cheaply at department stores or gas stations.

Give the person you want to talk to another pre-paid phone, and only talk using those phones. For now, you dont even need an ID in most states to purchase a pre-paid phone.

Use a pre-paid calling card for an extra layer of protection when using the pre-paid phone instead of dialing directly with it.

3Use gift cards for purchases. If you have a credit card, you can be traced. Its better to use credit card gift cards, and use those for purchases.

You can buy these cards, by big-name companies like Visa and American Express, in many department and even grocery stores. You just throw them away when you use up the balance.

Theres no statement attached to these cards, and you dont provide your personal details when you buy them or use them.

4Cancel any bank accounts. Use cryptocurrency like bitcoin or a pre-paid card paid for in cash. Or just try to use cash more than you currently do now.

Unfortunately, theres no uniform set of eligibility requirements for Medicaid. Even though its a federal program governed by federal oversight, each state is permitted to decide for itself which populations are covered and what the eligibility criteria are.
