Entering Bank or Credit Union Information
Regardless of how or when you request direct deposit, you will need to enter the nine-digit routing number of your United States bank or credit union and your checking or savings account number.

When Will Direct Deposit Hit My Account

Once your setup is complete, your direct deposit will usually start showing up in your GO2bank account within 1-2 payroll cycles. And instead of waiting for your actual payday, well credit the amount to your account as soon as we receive payment instructions from your employer or benefits provider. Since most employers or benefits providers typically notify us about your incoming deposit in advance of your payday, that means your pay will post up to 2 days early, and your benefits up to 4 days early. But please keep in mind if and how early your deposit posts to your account are completely dependent on when your employer or benefits provider sends us payment instructions, which can also vary from pay period to pay period. If you havent received your pay as early as you did the previous pay period, it doesnt mean somethings wrong or that were holding on to it. It just means we havent received it yet. But rest assured, we want to get you your hard-earned money into your account as quickly and securely as possible.
Want to add even more excitement to your new direct deposit life? Turn on direct deposit notifications! Just log in to your account, select Menu, then Notifications, and tap Direct deposit posted. Then you can get push notifications, text messages, and/or emails letting you know the second your pay posts to your account!

- When you check into a hotel or rent a car – or if a restaurant or other business asks for your debit card in advance of service – ask if the company is “blocking”. Also ask how much will be blocked, how the amount is determined, and how long the block remains in place. Consider paying hotel, motel, rental car, or other “blocked” bills with the same debit card you used at the beginning of the transaction. Ask the clerk when the prior block will be removed. If you pay with a different card, by cash, or by check, remind the clerk you are using a different form of payment and ask them to remove the prior block promptly.

Setting Up Direct Deposit To Receive Payments

To receive payments, youll need to provide the details below to the organization that will be paying you.
You can find most of that information on any personal check. The routing number usually appears on the front of the check at the bottom left side. The account number will be just to its right. Alternatively, you can call your bank and ask for direct deposit information. Details are often available online as well, but it’s best to log in to your account for accurate information.
Your bank routing and account numbers are sensitive information, so dont provide those numbers to anybody unless you truly trust them.
Setting up direct deposit can take anywhere between a few days and a few weeks. Ask your employer what to expect so that you don’t look for your payments in the wrong place.
