Conviction Integrity Unit Prosecutor
The Office is seeking a grant-funded Assistant States Attorney to work as the conviction integrity program prosecutor in the Conviction Integrity Unit–Circuit Court Division, 120 E. Baltimore Street. The ASA will handle day to day reviews of incoming extrajudicial claims of wrongful conviction, in court writs of actual innocence petitions, and will identify and review cases that meet the criteria for wrongful convictions.
Assistant States Attorney Major Investigations Unit
The Office of the States Attorney is seeking to fill the position of Assistant States Attorney to handle prosecutions in the Major Investigations Unit . Prosecutors in the Major Investigations Unit handle a wide range of cases including pattern offenses involving serial violence and drug trafficking organizations. The Unit is also responsible for significant investigations involving the grand jury, wiretaps, undercover officers, and electronic surveillance related to matters involving retaliatory violence, cold cases, as well as gang and other criminal organizations. The selected candidate will be expected to start within 30 days ofoffer and must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings.
