Find A Guarantor And 2 References

For new passport applications you will need to find a guarantor to sign your application, one of your passport photos and all copies of any supporting identity documents you are submitting with your application.

You will also need 2 references to include on your application. Your references must have known you for at least 2 years. You cannot use a family member or your guarantor as a reference.

Passport Book And Passport Card

Depending on where you are traveling outside of the U.S., you will need to determine if you need a passport book or a passport card.

• A passport book is required for all international travel by air.

• To enter the United States at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda, you can use a passport book or a passport card.

• A passport card is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book, but it cannot be used for international travel by air.

Eligibility Requirements For Us Citizen Adult Passport Renewals

In order to use the online payment system, you must answer YES to all of the following:

• I can submit my most recent U.S. passport book by mail with my renewal application
• I was at least 16 years old when my most recent passport book was issued
• I was issued my most recent U.S. passport book less than 15 years ago
• My most recent U.S. passport book has a validity of 10 years from issuance to expiration
• My most recent U.S. passport book was issued in my current name and
• I currently reside in and/or have a valid mailing address in Samoa.

Gather All Necessary Documents And Get Your Passport Photo

Include the following documents with your application form:

• a document to support your identity
• any valid Canadian passport or travel document issued in your current name or any other name of yours
• This is so we can cancel it. You cant travel with a cancelled passport or travel document.

All documents must be submitted in either French or English. If a document is in another language, an official translation must be provided.

How To Renew Your Passport

You may be eligible to submit a passport renewal application by mail.

If you need to get a passport quickly, you will need to have your passport renewal expedited and pay additional fees.

• To make an appointment at a Regional Passport Agency, call TDD/TTY: Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 10 PM ET. The appointment line is closed on weekends and federal holidays.

• At your appointment, youll need to provide proof of immediate travel, an expedited fee, and the items listed below to renew your passport.

If you live outside the U.S. or Canada: Contact the U.S. embassy or consulate near you for information and forms on all passports requested from overseas.

A new Australian-issued International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate will help travellers heading overseas prove their COVID-19 vaccination status.

Developed by the Australian Government, the international certificate links your COVID-19 vaccination information with the details in your passport to create a secure Quick Response code.

This individual QR code, which is as secure as an Australian passport chip, can be read by border authorities and presented at check-in with airlines when departing or returning to Australia.

The international certificate can be download or printed and will be used with COVID-19 travel apps like the International Air Transport Association Travel Pass, which some airlines are using.

Anyone who has a valid passport and their COVID-19 vaccination recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register can request an international certificate. Recording vaccinations on the AIR is done automatically for people whove had their vaccinations in Australia.

If you received your COVID-19 vaccinations outside Australia, youll need to record them on the AIR before you can get an international certificate. To find out how, go to the Services Australia website.

The easiest way to get your free international certificate is by using your Medicare account in myGov, or the Medicare Express app. If you cant use these options, you can contact the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809.

Emergency Or Urgent Travel

Under normal conditions, you can request an appointment at a passport agency if you:

• Are traveling within 72 hours .This is only in an emergency such as a serious illness, injury, or death in your immediate family.

• Have urgent travel within two weeks. You must have proof of immediate international travel .
